Ryzen 5 2600 Over Heating

My build:
Ryzen 5 2600
MSI B450 A-Pro
Patriot Viper Elite 8GB(2x4GB) DDR4 2133MHZ RAM
750 Watt 80+ Bronze PSU
2 NZXT 120mm Fans
2 Deepcool 120mm Fans
*I am using the stock cooler

Running at idle my CPU is from about 40-48 Celsius with my CPU fan on 100% and the 4 case fans on a curve. My GPU temps are very low but my CPU temps are way higher than they should be and I don't understand why because my cooling is theoretically very good aside from the fact I am using the stock cooler.

I've ran with a couple different overclocks but right now I'm running at the stock voltage (1.2375) and 3.7GHZ so obviously nothing to crazy, I've had pretty much no stability issues. At almost every overclock (I was running at 4GHZ on 1.325v) has resulted in similar idle temps (maybe 2-5 degrees higher) which is strange.

I feel like I've tried everything so I'm just kinda confused at what is causing the temps to be so high.

Solution

stress test like prime 95 for 70 is very good temp.
I will not set fan to 100 all the time, may reduce its lifespan imo.

An oc doesn't really effect idle temps as the cpu slows down when not in use.

If you're monitoring temps with anything other than. Ryzen master you're probably getting wrong readings

Idle temps don't mean anything what are the load temps?

What are you using to monitor temps?

Go test the load temps with a benchmark or gaming

Have you installed everything correctly, cooler, paste, fan connector? (100% at idle is strange)

Dont overclock with the standard cooler

I just set the CPU fan to 100%. I have to do some more testing and i don't have time for the next few hours but I'm around 70 on stress tests. I'll so some games in a couple hours and post them.
