[SOLVED] How to get ram at 1600mhz

I have 2 4gb sticks g skill rip jaws ram rated at 1600mhz but when I set frequency to 1600mhz/auto it only reads 1 stick. If I set it to 1100mhz it reads both and works and if I set it to 1300mhz it’ll work for a little bit then when I load bios back up it’ll be @1100 again. My cpu broke two pins so I can only run single channel on slot 3,4 but any help will be appreciated

The question(s) would be.

Is this Intel or AMD based and what motherboard/Chipset and CPU are you running?

I can point you to quite a few early boards that would accept 1600mhz RAM but downlocked while not allowing you to (O.C) to 1600mhz.
