I am planning on ordering my motherboard, CPU, and GPU tonight but I am still torn on what to get. I am going for top notch PC parts.

I was looking at an RTX 2080ti but I do not know if it is worth it for the price. I want to buy the best possible but I do not want to pay 500 more for just a little better performance if you know what I mean.

I was also looking at an i7 9th gen but then there is also an i9 that looks good.

For the motherboard, I have not one clue what I should get for that.

Keep in mind I am building a beast PC. If I had more time I would do all the research myself but I am seeing if anyone has any knowledge off of the top of their head so it can save me time and
effort.

I would still consider myself a newbie to the PC world since I have yet to build a PC but it is something I will probably go to college for. Just reading responses help me learn more so thank you for that.

Either you get the best possible parts, or you get parts that offer good value for money. You can't have both.

Best bang for buck right now for gaming would probably be something like a Ryzen 2600, B450 motherboard, 2x8GB 3200 MHz RAM, and a GTX 1070 Ti.

What resolution/refresh rate is your motherboard? What is your budget, and does it need to include peripherals/OS, or just the PC?

I worded that bad. It does not need to be ordered tonight but I would like to order as soon as possible. I have done a lot of research but I am still broken on the different parts. It is hard for me to go into full detail of these parts and what makes them better than the other since I am in school 5 days a week and I work on weekends.
