Gpu drops to 0% usage and everything freezes

I recently installed an Asus B450 gaming pro Motherboard
2x 8GB sticks of ddr4 3200 ram
MSi Radeon 580 Armor MK2
Ryzen 5 2600

I was using the raedon with my old setup and everything was running fine, Installed the new MOBO Processor and Ram and now my whole PC will freeze when playing games and I will see the GPU usage drop to 0%

Ran a memory Check like I seen in another thread and everything checked good, have re seated memory and checked all my connections, no success, any other ideas?

Did you reuse your hard drive/ssd from your old build?

Of so you need to format/fresh install

Really? Never thought of that, I have 2 ssds and 2 hdds, do i need to formst everything?

No just the partition that windows itself is on

Just out of curiosity if you don't mind explaining, why? I am coming from a quad core amd black and 750 ti as well as 8gb of ddr3 1600 ram, so I am already seeing what to me is a tremendous difference.

Different instruction sets, different drivers for literally every part of your mothboard, different core assignment schedules, basically nothing is the same between those setups

Oh yeah you'll be shocked how much the reinstall helps. Also when you get back up and running be sure to enable xmp/docp in bios so your ram will actually run at 3200 all ram defaults slow and must be set to correct speeds

So now that I have it reinstalled, I had a bunch of drivers that didnt install, and my ethernet will not work

If you can't pop the motherboard disc in then you'll need a working PC, and go to asus' website and download the drivers for your motherboard and put it on the USB drive

I deleted the driver for the adapter, waited for it to recognize it again and updated driver, good to go, now to finish setting everything else up and up the speed of the ram, then i will benchmark again
