Is the 2070 worth it

Hey, so I'm building a PC for high frames gaming on Fortnite (high level player) and general use. I will also play graphic intensive games like Odyssey, Oblivion etc but not in a competitive environment, so high frames around the board on every game don't matter.

I'm wondering if the 2070 is worth buying even with the basically consensus faulty reviews, from 1 hour of purchase to 1 month? I'm in Australia so my options in my price range are the 1070ti ($599), Vega64 ($699) or 2070 ($750). Cheers.

Builds for those interested

For all intents & purposes, a 2070 = a GTX1080+ RayTracing.

A 1070TI falls about 10% short of a stock 1080, and that gap can be eaten up with overclocking (although the 1080/2070 could OC on from there).

Because a 1070TI is 'only' 80% of the price of a 2070, I wouldn't suggest it's "worth it" on that metric alone -- Especially for Fornite.

@jay - Yeah that's unlucky. I know if it did <<Edited>> up I'd get another just annoying.

@barty - Yes I don't think I can justify paying an extra $150 for a bit of a performance upgrade. If the 2070s were more reliable then yes
