New SSD with windows reinstall - No internet connection after installing drivers(LAN)

Hello! I just got a new SSD, and thought I'd replace my hold HDD with it. After removing the HDD and replacing it with the SSD, I installed windows 10 on it with my windows 10 usb, the system appeared to recognize the SSD just fine. I thought I was in the clear! However after installing my drivers using the disc that came with my motherboard, I noticed I still didn't have internet connection. The status of the LAN driver says "installed" and in the device manager, I do have the Realtek PCIe GBE family controller, along with other WAN mini ports listed in the 'network adapters' area. Did I do something wrong here? Should I have cloned my HDD instead(had no problems with the drivers/internet previously)? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
