So, I am saving for a new PC and i am getting:
1060 6GB
2x4GB 2400Mhz/2666
650W 80+ Gold
250GB m.2 SSD
2TB HDD

So, I have been researching and those are the specs. I have seen that the Ryzen 5 is better for editing and stuff, while intel is better for gaming. I have also seen that you dont need to buy 2666mhz ram for those CPU's and its worth putting the money from a 2666 module to something that there will be more difference. I will be gaming mostly, and maybe some video editing. I am thinking the Ryzen 5, as the difference between compressing files and editing is bigger than the game frame-rates.
Any reply helps (even jokes)

In most of the countries there's a significative difference in price favoring Ryzen, for example in Spain right now in Amazon a 2600 costs 163€ while the 8500 costs 218€, gap that can easily cover the price difference the price between 2666 and >3000Mhz RAMs, so I don't know if the value in your country for both brands are tied or you miscalculated something when planning the budget. Let us know the price of these components in your country.

There's an image illustrating the performance gain for a Ryzen processor with faster RAMs:

As you said that you want to play games and do some video editing then definitely ryzen 5 is better choice over I5. Also if your are going with ryzen 5 then put faster RAM aleast of 3000MHz for better performance.
