Help i5-7600k + 2060

Solution
It'll work fine most of the time the cpu will be the bottlneck but it should be a lot of fps so it shouldn't be an issue. An oced 7600k will perform about as well as a 9900k in most of those titles
I pretty much agree with the above.
My i7-3770K for example has four cores with hyperthreading but I've observed that my CPU is almost never above 70% load even with a CPU bottleneck when paired with my GTX1080.

So per-core performance matters most with up to four cores (in general) so OVERCLOCKING that CPU should help a bit if you've not done so.

RTX2060 6GB is a great card at roughly $420 to $450USD. It sometimes beats a GTX1080 so I'm confused about all the hate it's getting. Probably because of the RTX functionality but just consider that a bonus.. eventually games will be released that can do Ray-Tracing or use DLSS or other functionality that makes sense even on an RTX2060.

At current prices it's roughly comparable to a GTX1070Ti so it boils down to a trade-off between having a bit more VRAM (8GB vs 6GB) and getting RTX functionality which is mostly for the future.

I think the RTX functionality matters most. If a gamer stutters a lot then investigate VRAM usage and if that's the issue then adjust your settings accordingly. Currently not many games need more than 6GB at 2560x1440 or below even on Ultra settings.
