Hey guys i have a 2 different brand rams one is "GSKILL 8GB RipjawsX DDR3 1866MHz" and the other one "Kingston HyperX Fury White 8GB 1866MHz DDR3" When i am using gskill only i can activate xmp for 1866mhz but when i insert both xmp not showing up in bios. I know kingston is auto overclock ram and i changed auto value of mhz to 1866 from bios. So now cpu-z shows dual channel and 1866mhz. But in the task manager it shows 1333mhz and in the extreme tuning utility kingston looks like 1333mhz and gskill looks like 1867mhz. So my question is can i use or activate xmp just for gskill. Are they both working at 1866mhz right now ? Should i or can i do anything about this ? Task manager and intel extreme tuning utility confusing me right now.

My motherboard z97 pc mate and cpu i7-4770 if necessary

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Other combinations have no guarantee to be compatible together. You can test for compatibility yourself with no guarantees.

Memory modules sold as Singles have no guarantee to be compatible if used in any configuration other than as a Single module. This also includes exact match, same thing, identical.

XMP profiles are also for memory in the form sold and not for other combinations you decide to make.

Thank your for your answer. Unfortunately both rams are not available anymore in my country so maybe i can find some second hand one. Right now i am using 1-3 channels for dual looks fine until now except windows says one works at 1333 other 1866. If i put rams into 2-4 channels this time cpu-z says it works single channel 16gb and xmp option available again in bios so i can overclock other one and both works at 1866mhz at least thats what bios and cpu-z says(should be dual again but this time windows shows i just have 8gb ram but proper speed?? ) . I guess i am gonna go with dual channel until my system dies lol. Thank you for your help again i will consider your advice for my next system kinda old for this stuff.
