I would only encourage you to shop for a reliable rather than a "pretty" PSU. I'm older and crankier than you and definitely lean toward performance over lookie-see. "rgb capabilities" are sort of deer-in-the-headlights stuff to me. We really like our Silverstone SST-ST85F-GS for its reliability, quietness, and lower power consumption. 850 watts is far more than we need for a graphics workstation due to improvements in GPU efficiency. So, if we bought a new one, we might pick the SST-ST60F-TI. I'd put a 600 watt PSU in Toms Tower, maybe 700. Parts picker has you at 359. I'm not pushing Silverstone, Corsair and some other brands are good too. I merely would never put anything Thermaltake in a $2K plus computer. Maybe it's just...

Maybe it's just me, but power supplies can be the source of many headaches. Power supply and pretty lights are two separate decisions, keep them independent. Just my advice.

What will you be doing with the new system?
If it's mainly workstation then what software do you use? This is CRITICAL, some software runs best off an Intel based system, some will benefit significantly from the massive core/thread counts available to a Threadripper based setup.

And whatever you do, change that CPU cooler, it looks cool but is totally inadequate for an i9.

coozie7 I would mainly be playing video games, watching 4k movies, and hosting a minecraft server.
I did kind of fear that the CPU cooler would not be enough any suggestions that would be adequate and still look about as cool as the current one?
