I have built this low end pc for DOTA 2, 5 months back. Saved up some money and now planning on upgrading some components. Could you suggest as to what would be nice>
Current build:
AMD RYZEN 5 2400G
GIGABYTE B450M DS3H
CORSAIR RAM VENGEANCE LPX SERIES - 8GB (4GBx2) DDR4 2400MHz
CORSAIR SMPS VS450 - 450 WATT PSU WITH ACTIVE PFC
KINGSTON A400 Series 120GB Internal SSD (SA400S37-120G)
BENQ GW2270H Monitor 22" FHD
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dota 2 in Medium settings run at 60FPS.
Now i feel adding an 1TB HDD is a must to keep my personal data backup.
Despite this, should i go for a ASUS ROG Strix Gaming RX 570 OC Edition 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card?
Planning to add some more games (preferably in 1080p med to high settings- GTA V, Hitman 2, FIFA, NFS).

Also, if i am adding a discrete GPU, its understood that the iGPU will no longer help. So do i have to add more cooling/fans for the GPU?

Any further suggestions are welcome. :)

Solution
The R5-2600 or R5-2600x (or at more expense the R-2700X) would give you a higher performing upgrade.

And the RX 580 or RX 590 would be a upgrade at relatively little extra expense.
I would get the graphics card. The integrated graphics are not what I would recommend for anything beyond basic gaming.

Plus with the integrated graphics, the 8 GB of RAM isn't sufficient. With around 2GB allocated to VRAM for the integrated graphics, that only leaves you around 6 GB to run the rest of the system. And that isn't enough.

Do you need extra fans for the new graphics card? Not necessarily if you have adequate cooling now. Just keep an eye on the motherboard, CPU and GPU temperatures. The motherboard temperature should be within 5 C degrees of ambient temperature. If it isn't then, add more cooling fans.

Two front 120/140 mm intake fans, one or two top 120/140 mm exhaust fans, and the rear 120/140 mm fan is a good all around fan configuration.

So the RX 570 and more 2x 4 GB DDR4's should be good eh?

Whoa! My ambient temp is always 25-35°C at the day time and maybe 10°'s lesser at night. But my CPU temps have always shown as 47-55°C in Ryzen master logs and a bit lesser at nights. And my cabinet has functional 120mm x 1 fan on the front and 120mm x 1 fan on the rear.
and the ryzen default stock CPU cooler. Confused now.

Then increase the number of cooling case fans. If increasing the CPU cooling fan RPM doesn't bring the temperatures down, then try remounting the cooler with fresh thermal paste. If that doesn't bring the temperatures down, then consider a better CPU cooler.

The RX 570 is a good choice for a budget minded build. If increasing the RAM, I would suggest getting a matched set of 2 x 8 GB dual DDR4 channel memory, and then sell the other 8GB of RAM. That will better ensure that the RAM will be compatible together in dual channel mode.

I don't think in this village that i am, there will be a scope to find a buyer for RAM. Since i have now 2x 4 GB DDR4, and 2 more slots are empty, i will get the same make and model 2x more 4GB's. Thats also a good option right? Current 2 rams are in slot 1 and 3, the new 2 , i will put in 2 and 4 slot. 4x4GB DDR4 cannot function at dual channel? #ignoremydumbness pls.
Edit: Current setup of 2x4 GB is of same make and model thus running in dual channel

It may not work for dual channel memory. But if it doesn't it may work for two sticks of single channel memory. In the US, we have Ebay to sell stuff like that online. I don't know if there is something like that there.

But give it a try as dual channel mode first. Then fall back to single channel if it is a problem.

Ok I read from Toms another post that in AMD Mobo's 4x=2x>1x. SO yeah, I will try getting two more 4GB Sticks of same make and model as my exisiting 2 sticks. I guess practically, my mentioned usage shouldn't need more that 16 GB RAM. Right? Also, can the rx 570 run gta V at max settings in 1080p?
