Hiya, new here and had a look around but still bit confused.

I'm planning on buying a new pc, my budget is around 1.8k (£)

The rough specs of the build:

GPU: rtx 2070
RAM: Corsair LPX 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000 MHz
Motherboard: Asus Z370
CPU Coolder: Cooler master MA410P (debating about liquid cooling as well?)
500 ssd and 2tb hdd for storage
Corsair VS650 - 650 Watt 80 plus
4 monitor setup, but only 1 used for gaming. (all are 1920 x 1080)

My question is about the cpu.
I've got it down to the 9700k or the 2700x.
I don't mind spending more for the intel but I want to know if its worth it.

The main thing that is troubling me is the amount of threads difference between them.
I know that the i7 will handle games better as it scores higher on single cores etc. But I'm wondering about the amd for gaming plus general usage. Such as video editing etc.

would the amd be better for video editing? (1080p) because of the extra cores (threads) and if so how much better are we talking?

Sorry for ranting but thanks for reading!

2700X in general it is really good for recording and playing games at the smae time and hit helps with preview quailty and rendering. Obviously the intel one will provide more fps but with the 2700x in most games you will already be hitting 150fps. And also the higher your resolution is the less the diffrence in FPS there is.
