Hey guys so I ran into some complications when removing my stock cooler from my ryzen 1600, I’ve removed plany of coolers but this one didn’t agree with me. I now need a new cpu. Below is my current build

Mobo:ASUS rog strix 450-F
Gcard: gigabyte 2070 OC 8g
PS:Evga 750
Ram:3200 vengeance lpx
Cooler:master liquid LV240E RGB
Case:meshify C LT

Obviously I’m staying with ryzen and I’m looking for something better than my 1600 but nothing crazy. I’m going to continue research on 2ng gen and cpus but thought I would ask you guys. I’m leaning towards ryzen 7 2700x

Thanks

Solution
All ryzen 2000 series processors come with a stock cooler. The 2700 has a worse cooler than the 2700x tho. The 2700 and 2700x are identical when overclocked so id go with the 2700.
You could go with a ryzen 5 2600 or 2700x. The ryzen 5 2600 is only a minor step up from your 1600. It comes with a slightler higher ipc due to the 12nm node. The 2600s stock clocks are higher but you may get only an extry 100mhz or so from an overlclock. A 2700x is much more expensive imvestment but performs much better, so i would reccomend that.
