Hi everyone, I want to buy a new graphics card for my desktop. But I confuse for which card. I am going to buy. First of all my old graphics card is Asus 780ti - and my system looks like;
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Formula
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
Ram: 16gb Ripjaws 1600Mhz
Monitor: Asus VG248qe 144Hz

So, I search the internet but I am not sure RTX 2060 is suitable for i7 4790k.
My purpose to use my desktop is playing the different type of gaming such as CS: GO, Bf 1/V, etc. at 1080p. As we know, these games use CPU. Also, my working area is artificial intelligent so I need CUDA performance as well.

My friends suggest me to buy maximum GTX 1070ti, because of RTX series and 1080/1080ti because of these series at 1080p give bottleneck in most of the games such as BF1/V.

My question is that is true this cards bottleneck CPU at BF1/V (1080p). If not, can u guys give me suggestion which card am I gonna buy 1070ti, RTX 2060 or other, for taking good performance both gaming and artificial intelligence applications.

Sorry for my English, I tried my best.
Thanks for your answers.

Well actually if you use an i7 4790K and a graphics card with performance levels equal to a GTX 1080 or above, you might experience a slight bottleneck when comparing it to something like an i7 8700K or Ryzen 2700X but its not enough to do a full system upgrade just for 15-20 fps. I myself also own an i7 4790K and i can say its solid cpu for gaming even in 2019.

To answer your main question i would say that even if you get a GTX 1070 Ti it would be a great as it has more vram but i believe right now 6GB will be suffice for just 1080p if you dont plan on upgrading your resolution.
Talking about CUDA performance, the 1070 Ti has 2432 cuda cores which is much more than 2060's 1920 and might benefit you in ai applications. But for gaming...
