I'm planning to build a mid tier gaming pc in feb last this year. With a Ryzen 5 1600 (Which is a best VFM for now in India). I know it is an older gen processor compared to R5 2600 there is a 10% less performance but cost about 60-70USD lesser here in India. At first i thought I'd go for a 1080p monitor but later i found a better deal on a LG Ultrawide monitor (29UM69G). Initially i thought I'd go for RX570 4GB which is also now the best VFM here (About 200USD). But as i changed to a 2560x1080 resolution how does the RX570 handle it? Can i play games in Medium to high with 60fps? Or does it require a RX580? The RX 580 only fits in the budget if a 240GB SSD is removed.

Note: In india PC Part prices are 30-40% higher than in US. The RX580 & GTX1060 3GB is priced similar. So going for a Nvidia Card will cost a way more. And i have a budget of Rs. 80K INR ( Sadly 1200USD :( ).

Are you using this build strictly for gaming? For gaming at 2560x1080 the 580 is a much better option but you’d want the 8gb version. If you’re using this PC for gaming and productivity the 570 would suffice but don’t expect amazing gaming performance.

For gaming I’d take a 24” monitor with a 570 and an SSD vs an ultra wide monitor. I would much rather have an SSD just for usability unless I was using my PC only for games and nothing else.
