[SOLVED] No signal to monitor from pc

Recently my computer had been turning on but was receiving no signal to the monitor. I assumed it was something to do with my GPU/motherboard not working so I bought a new GPU. I also upgraded my CPU, RAM and motherboard and have put it all together but I’m experiencing the exact same problem still.

I’m completely stumped by this and have changed the HDMI, the monitor and the HDD all without solving the problem. I have looked up fixes such as pulling the power cord out and holding the power button and still nothing. Anyways, if anyone could help would be very much appreciated.

(First post on this site so sorry if it’s in the wrong section.)

No, it's not booting. You're not just not getting a picture. You'll have to have a supported cpu installed to update the BIOS.

You were asking about updateing without anything on the screen. It's not posting. So there is no way

You motherboard needs a bios update to support your cpu, which will require a 1*** series cpu

Options

1) return board for a b450 or x470

2) buy or borrow 1000 series ryzen cpu to update bios

3) take motherboard to a computer shop to have them update bios for you

4) contact AMD for a boot kit to update your bios

Yeah that’s true, I have a 1600 spare so I’ll use that. However, I still don’t know how to get signal as it also happened with my old cpu and motherboard so not sure if this will fix my image problem?

I’m gonna try and get a boot kit from amd to update bios as the 1600 is in another pc currently and I have no thermal paste or wipes spare at the moment. I’ll let you know if this fixes the problem because it does make sense now I think about it as I suspected it was the old motherboard that broke to begin with.

I’ve emailed AMD support on how to do it but 3-7 day response time. I’m a bit impatient so if anyone would know how to update my bios without a screen that would help out lots.

Thanks in advance.

(Also I would switch this thread to software/drivers but no idea how)
