for some reason every time i boot my system every morning the time is not correct but the date is always fine. its just the time thats not correct. it seems like it stops after a few hours after i shut it down. but i wonder why its just the time? if its a problem with the CMOS battery should it be both time and date thats going to be wrong? but in my case its just the time that is wrong.
all my bios settings and bios time and date are intact. its just the windows time.

if i cant resolve this im planning on reformatting my system.

i have searched for an answer but i cant find something similar.

-my "set time automatically" is "on"
-my "set timezone automatically" is "on"
-time zone is correct
-"synchronize with internet time" server is "on" with server "time.windows.com

Solution
Is this a laptop or desktop? You may need to replace your cmos battery that keeps the clock ticking when your pc is off or disconnected from power. When this goes dead the clock and date can have some issues. You may need a cr2032 battery.

-Ive thought about replacing the CMOS battery but if its the CMOS why are the BIOS settings, time and date in bios and the date in windows ok? its just the Time in windows that is wrong.
