Is intel core I7-4790K still worth it ?
Does it worth the 269$ CPU and MB bundle ?
Also will there be bottleneck if paired with GTX960 4GB ?
I'm interested in this CPU because he's a good one and I'm playing only GTA V so I dont need as much future proof CPU....

If you can get both motherboard and CPU for 269.. I think it's kind of good deal and no reason to say no for that.
I7 4790K still pretty good if the board is OC capable then it will more worthy and 4790K with GTX 960 will be good combination.. can't expect such bottleneck here.

The 4790K is a very good cpu, especially if your not looking to play AAA titles. the GTX 960, 970, 980 series video graphic cards will not bottleneck the 4790K at all

That 269$ bundle of cpu & motherboard does it include ram? if yes, then depending on the Motherboard model it may be a very good deal. as it could be a mismatched set of hardware (i.e. 4790K and a H77 motherboard) which cannot be overclocked or use the full capability of the 4790k.

so what is the make and model of that bundle offered. ? and do you have ram for it already? which speed is it ? and how much ram is it ?

4790k is still a very capable processor especially OCed.

If you plan to combine I7 4790k and GTX960, the 960 is the more problematic on AAA games. Not the 4790k.
On some new AAA, 4790k could be already showing it's age especially if you use GPUs like GTX1080.

For USD269 including a mainboard, I would say grab it, especially if you have already DDR3 kits laying around and if the mainboard in the bundle is a Z97.

I have 4790k and 1080 with 16mb of 2400mhz ram. And it's overclocked to 4.7. I play any game out there no problem at 1080p. I get 120fps in Battlefield v. So the 4790k is very capable still. However as mentioned before the 960 is going to disappoint you.

yup, About 960 will be the one you should be worried more.
If someone wants to know, I am still running E3-1231V3 (I7 4770 minus the iGPU) with my GTX1080. I am already thinking to upgrade my rig but somehow still trying to hold on at the same time because I can still play games I want with very good FPS and it still can do my contain creation work quite ok :)

Nice setup. Gpu will be lacking even though it's a 4Gb version, you'll need to drop detail levels in some games just to get the fps that i7 is capable of.
Just get a good cooler, doesn't need to be liquid but does need decent size. NH-D14 or Cryorig H5 etc. It's an i7. Oc+gaming loads = heat that budget coolers can't handle.
