I was wondering if the 3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i5-3350P processor was a good cpu for gaming. I'm buying a computer actually this for Christmas actually this

I was thinking about building one, but I have no experience, due to the fact I have been playing on a Man for five years. I just though a dell xps is fast, quiet and upgradable. Back to the CPU, i want to render fast, play games such as battlefield 3 and farcry 3. Is this a good CPU that won't burn up too fast and that is lighting fast?

CPU's are not responsible for rendering operations, video/graphics cards are.
- The GPU.

That said, the 3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i5-3350P is a fairly good processor.
- Basic specs can be found here: http://ark.intel.com/products/69114/Intel-Core-i5-3350P-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz

The link to your shopping card is broken, so I cannot comment on the video card/GPU of the unit you are looking at.

CPU is strong and fast.

GPU - the video card - is slow.

I did not see the wattage given for the power supply. You'll need to swap power supplies to get a really strong video card if the power supply in the PC is less than 350W. Some moderately strong cards will run with a 300W PSU.
