I am look for a new PC to play some games and was wondering if the one in the link would be a good choice. Look at the details below for more info.
Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime this month.

Budget Range: £400-£450 No rebates.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Playing TW:Shogun 2 and TW predecessors (Hopefully).

Parts Not Required: No peripherals e.g.keyboard, mouse, monitor etc. or OS.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: All from one shop preferably.

Country of Origin: United Kingdom

Parts Preferences: by brand or type Not bothered that much but I think AMD/ATI is cheaper for what you get.

Overclocking: Maybe very light on the CPU

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: No bigger 1280x1024

Additional Comments: It needs to be relatively quiet and keep cool. Also have options on upgrades in the future.

If there is anything missed out or something that would really boost performance please point it out. Thank you.

Both links say the basket is empty. Take a screen shot of it, save it as a JPEG and upload it to imageshack.

Negative - i would rate any of these chipsets

740G
690G
GF 7XXX
NForce 4xx/5xx/6xx

far inferior than any entry level AM2+ out in 2008 due to

a. HT Limitation when paired with any AM2+/AM3 chip
b. Still stuck on PCIe gen 1.0/1.1, true AM2+ had migrated to PCIe gen 2.0 as of 2008

Gigabyte NForce 630a

* If you install AMD AM3 CPU on this motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM3 CPU will not be impacted. Please refer "CPU Support List" for more information.

MSI 740GTM-P23

Hyper Transport Bus

• HyperTransport 1.0 supporting speed up to 1000MT/s

Slots

• 1 PCI Express x16 slot with x16 operation (PCI Express Bus SPEC V1.0 compliant)

so cut a long story short: hit an entry level 760G/785G/770/880G

2nd Corsair Builder series is not 80+ certified

either way consider
