Problem with so called sata,sata II please read and help me!

ok so recently i bought gtx 460 1gb,and since i had crappy 450W frontier power supply it exploded,everything survived explosion except for it and motherboard and now i gotta buy new socket 775 motherboard but i am wondering will my so called SATA HDD work on motherboard that says SATA II in specifications?

also i'd like some suggestions on which socket LGA775 ddr3 motherboard should i get? please note that my budget mustnt exceed 60 euros or 85$...

Your first generation SATA drive will work on a SATA II motherboard, but it won't perform at SATA II transfer speeds, only SATA (150MB/sec).

Can't help with choosing a motherboard.

why do say 'so-called' ? that's just what it is, its a sata HDD.
