Flash drive problems

Hello,
hey av bought a new LG 2gb flash drive and when i try to open it says disk not formatted when i try to format it cannot format what might be the problem?

You can try to go into Disk Management (right clicking Computer, then Manage, then on the left side).
Then find the memory stick and format it that way. If that does not work. Get a replacement from LG.
