Hello everyone!
I've got a very wierd question for ya. I just got a brand new laptop, and it has a 320gb hard drive. When I looked up the space available it was originally 220gb free out of 280gb... This is customary because of the size of the files that already came with the PC that is understandable. BUT! Every day since the moment I've had the laptop I've lost 1gb a day since I got it... Keep in mind I'm not adding anything to the laptop, I'm running daily virus/spyware scans, erasing all temp internet files, and have done nothing to add that much of a file size.

What could be taking away 1gb a day from my hard drive? How do I fix it and do away with the space that is being gobbled up?

Also if you notice the laptop is supposed to have a 320gb hard drive, and it says 280gb in all... Why is that?

But seriously look into disabling system restore. That is probably the source of your gigs. That or pr0n.

This is nothing to do with the HD, it's the Operating System, at a guess (as you didn't say) Windows Vista; if so it's a common problem caused by system restore, file indexing etc. Let it do it's stuff for a week or two then see if it's still happening.

Hi, your hard disk may be filled up by the windows restore point files try this and see if it works
: goto computer and right click > properties > system protection > choose C drive > configure > set max usage to minimum (left) > delete
