Im looking a buying a new laptop and im stuck between the asus g73 with the
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB DDR5 and the sony vaio with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 1GB both cpus are with the Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor please help which graphics card is better. The cpu will be used mostly for games

Gotta hand it to Nvidia on this one... they number and name stuff in such a way that a pretty middle-of-the-road part is being compared (by the OP) to the single fastest mobile GPU currently available. Here's you a matrix for Nvidia mobile GPUs...

The 330 sits in the middle of the "performance" category... while that 5870 would be perched at the top of the "enthusiast" category.
