Come on guys, you are going to get an awesome Single player campaign and all the races for the Multilayer component, and a commitment from Blizzard that they are expanding it into 3 full games with epic story telling and cutscenes.

I say bring it on, I will gladly pay $50 and $30 each for the expansions.

This is better than waiting for what 7 years before the next release, and by the time the trilogy ends we can hop into the Starcraft MMO!

Just awesome if you ask me.

Diablo III should be a large enough game so that if you can keep your pants on and wait a couple of months the price of Starcraft II will drop and you'll be able to emulate all three "installments" at a full game's initial price. I blame people who wine like little kids for the reason many games require a patch to be playable and thankfully Blizzard games are playable at 1.0 even if the patches have must have features.

...however very few people will want to get the collector's edition of Starcraft because of the game being split. The collector's edition is suppose to be everything and the kitchen sink (save for expansions which are the chests). Personally I only find Blizzard co-op games playable on Battle.net (WOW and Diablo) because some people sacrifice their lives (jobs, girlfriends, etc) just to take the games beyond fun. Yeah these are GAMES and Starcraft and Warcraft aren't fun on Battle.net for normal and casual gamers. If anything I'd like to see Blizzard take their PVP games and quarantine these people so we can enjoy reasonable matches.

I was thinking (before the whole Activision issue that even if you don't like WOW it has given Blizzard the freedom to simultaneously develop Diablo III and Starcraft II.

I just hope they have Matt Uelmen doing at least a good portion of Diablo III's game score. ...and of course they are working on a new MMO. Let's hope Activision doesn't have any lasting negative effects on Blizzard.
