Windows Remote Shell—SSH的替代品
即使Windows Server 2008并未内建SSH服务器的功能，但微软至少引进了Windows Remote Shell，这项功能允许远程的命令列透过加密的联机执行，而且使用了SOAP通讯协议。
在能够使用Windows Remote Shell之前，它需要先输入WinRM quickconfig命令加以启用。
