Today we are going to learn how to root our beloved samsung galaxy note 2( n7000).Some of the newbies might be wondering what is root?? and what are the advantages of rooting. So keep reading.

What is root?

In clear words, rooting means to give applications full access of your phone which the manufacturers do not provide. By gaining root access you can modify the device's software on the very deepest level.

Advantage of rooting

■ As mentioned above by giving root acces, you can modify the system install custom roms, add mods and lots more.

■ By giving rooting access, you can make backup of whole(nandroid backup) system or just selective( using titanium backup) apps and restore it without any hassle

■ If you are a heavy user you must root so as to clean "dalvik cache"

■ With root access you can remove pre-installed apps from manufacturers or carriers, generally termed as "bloatwares"

■ and lots more......

NOTE; Many manufacturers note that how many times you have rooted or installed custom roms, so rooting will void your warranty, but it can b brought back.

Pre requisite

■Access to a Windows powered computer is required.

■You will have to connect the device with the PC so the USB cord should be near you.

■First of all, backup the data.

■Then, on the computer and Note deactivate or even uninstall the security programs; antivirus and Firewall protection included (these tools are usually interrupting the root process).

■Your handset should be charged before starting the tutorial, or else it might get turned off in the middle of the operation.

■The USB debugging option should be enabled on your phone. For enabling it, go to settings>More>about device and tap "build number" 5 times. Now go back, and now you will see developer option. Click it and and enable it, then tick mark "usb debugging"and click ok.

Then after flashing the root package, pull out the battery and boot the phone into Recovery mode by selecting Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together. This will start the install process.
