How to Optimize Matchmaking in Call of Duty: Ghosts to Decrease Online Lagg

Introduction
This year around, Call of Duty: Ghosts hasn't given us an option to select our online match making preferences. With Black Ops 2 we were able to choose a max ping. Infinity Ward decided to not include that but we can still change it!
Step 1
Go to the following folder located in:

Open "config_mp.cfg" with Notepad. If you are using regular notepad, run notepad and click "open" and navigate to the folder we were at previously.
Step 3
Press "Ctrl + F" on your keyboard and type in "Maxping". You should see the following:

Here you can edit your settings. As you can see Infinity Ward decided that 800 ping would work just fine... I recommend 100. If you live in a dense city then you can put 50!
Recap
This will make Ghosts find games slower but your connection in game will be significantly better. Hopefully this will decrease your lagg and save yourrself from rage.
