Ever since I first tried Ubuntu 13.10, It has captivated me with its stylish appearance and intimate simplicity. Now, you can experience all Ubuntu has to offer - In under 20 minutes.

Before we get started, you should have the following

  • A Thumb Drive or SD Card (Equal to or above 2 Gigs)
A Working Computer (This tutorial assumes you use windows)
    Internet Acess
A USB or SD card slot (Relevant to the above)

Step One
First, We need to download Pendrive Linux HERE
Open the file and let it sit in the background.

Step Two
Second, we want to install the operating system itself.
If you are a 64 Bit PC, Click HERE
If you are a 32 Bit PC, Click HERE
Save this file in an easy-to-find location - You'll need it soon!
Step Three
Third, we want to insert the SD card or Thumb Drive into a SD card slot or USB hub.
Open the Pen Drive Linux again and fill out the following forms.
Under Step one, choose Ubuntu
Under Step two, locate the Ubuntu file (you downloaded this in step 2)
Under Step three, Find your SD or Thumb drive and select it*, as well as checking off the "Format Drive" option.
Without modifying step four, press create.

The progress bar will pause occasionally.
Step Four
When you have finished the above process, restart your computer WITHOUT REMOVING THE SD OR USB DRIVE and press the F12 key repeatedly. A boot menu will come up, select USB storage.
During this time, Ubuntu will load onto your system. HOWEVER, you will be presented ith the option to Side Boot (Keeping your files, documents, music, ect.) or Fully replace your hard drive (Wiping the memory clean).

If you choose the second option, I recommend you back up all your files on an external hard drive.

You then can go through the steps to set up your new operating system.
