Introduction
In this tutorial we will be turning off mouse acceleration in windows. Mouse acceleration can hinder the ability to play games where you need precise aim (FPS games). Although you can choose to disable it simply in mouse options. You can still feel it in some games. This tutorial is written in the perspective of windows 7 but it also works on XP, Vista, and W8.
Step 1
Head on over to this link and accept the file. This was created by a user on this website.
Step 2
Open the file we've just downloaded and open the folder that complies with your operating system.

Step 3
Figure out your Display Scaling. This can be done by going to "Control Panel" --> "Appearance and Personalization" --> "Display". Take a note of what your display scaling setting is.

Step 4
Now click the corresponding option in the folder we were at in Step #2. If your number is Step #3 was Normal (100%) then in this step click the one that said 100%. If you do not do this your mouse movements will be messed up.

Step 5
It will want your confirmation saying that the file will alter registry keys. If you did everything correctly, there should be no risk involved and you can continue. Upon clicking yes, you will see a success message!

Recap
This should remove any type of mouse acceleration you see in applications/games/browsing. Hopefully this has worked for you.
