Ultra ISO has a feature of sound effects that is coded on the program to give audio outputs for every action that you perform on the program. The audio output for some flags like completion of image or closing alert box is still useful but the sounds the computer makes when you hover over any part of the software’s buttons in the toolbar are not that useful. These awful sounds are often considered irritating by some users.
Although these are the built-in sounds of the UltraISO program, these sound effects can be disabled from the UltraISO settings.
If this is the problem you are facing, all you need to do is follow the steps described below to make UltraISO silent.
- Initialize the UltraISO program from the Start menu, using any account privileges.
- On the UltraISO’s home interface, select the Options menu from the menu bar.
- On the list that appears, click to uncheck the Sound Effects option.
Restart the UltraISO program. The changes that you made will now take effect, and you will not hear any irritating sound when you operate the UltraISO program.
Note: UltraISO program is designed to create ISO images from DVDs and CDs. The best practice while creating backup from a DVD is by creating image using the UltraISO program and storing them in .RAR compressed format protected with a strong password so that these images are not accessed by any unauthorized person easily. Although you can ignore this note by all means, following this best practice would add a layer of security to your ISO image file, if it contains some sensitive information that you don’t want to be exposed to any unauthorized person.
