So you're going to upgrade to a new graphics card! Congratulations! You may think it's pretty easy, and you're right. But upgrading to a new graphics card requires more than just putting it in a slot on the motherboard. These steps were designed so you encounter the least amount of issue while upgrading and also to be simple and easy to follow for the people who don't know that much about computers. This tutorial applies to Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. And as far as I know, it will apply to Windows XP, and Vista too.

Afterwords you have to install your graphics card and their drivers. But that is for another tutorial. Thanks for reading and if you have any more questions, please check my sources first. If that doesn't help, don't be afraid to ask anyone on the forums here on Tom's Hardware or in the comments below. If any other person has any comments about my tutorial (Tips, Edits, ect.)
