Airplane Mode is available in almost all the latest mobile devices that are manufactured these days. The reason behind integrating the Airplane Mode in mobile devices is the assumption that when the users travel by air, they don’t need to completely power off their devices, as it is recommended by most airline services.
This being said, when Airplane Mode is turned on, users can continue using their mobile devices’ built-in features such as camera, audio player, video player, etc., but they can’t use any feature that needs signal transmission such as making or receiving phone calls, sending or receiving text messages, etc.
If the Airplane Mode is turned on in your copy of Windows 8/Windows 8.1, and you are unable to exploit the features of your computer at full, you must follow the steps given below to turn the feature back off:
- Log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer using the administrator account.
- From the Start screen, click the Desktop tile.
- Once you are on the desktop window, hover mouse to the bottom right corner of the screen.
- From the displayed Charms bar, click Settings.
