All you need to do in order to add multiple email accounts in the Mail app is to provide the correct email address that you want to add, along with its corresponding password.
Since every email account and its data is stored on the Microsoft server online, you are not required to take any backups, and you can access your email accounts from any other supported device as well.
In order to add multiple email accounts in the Mail app in Windows 8/Windows 8.1, you must follow the steps given below:
- Log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer using the account that you generally use.
- From the Start screen, click the Mail tile.

- The opened interface will most likely be of the default email that you have used to register for the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 account.

- Hover mouse to the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- From the displayed Charms bar, click Settings.

- On the Settings pane that appears in the right, from the contextual options, click Accounts.

- On the Accounts pane in the right, click Add an account.

- From the displayed email service providers list, click the one of your choice. Alternatively you can also click the Other account option (selected in this demonstration) if the email service provider is not available in the list.

- Once the appropriate option is selected, you can follow the on-screen instructions to configure a new email account on the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 Mail app.
