Internet Explorer App Missing in Windows 8/Windows 8.1

Internet Explorer is a built-in program in almost every operating system developed by Microsoft. In Windows 8/Windows 8.1, if the Internet Explorer app is missing, it means that either its icon has been unpinned from the Start screen, or the program has been uninstalled from the Windows altogether.

If just the icon of the program has been unpinned, you can get it back by hovering mouse to the bottom-right corner, clicking the Search from the Charms bar, typing the Internet Explorer in the search box, right-clicking the Internet Explorer option from the list, and clicking ‘Pin to Start’ from the context menu.

On the other hand, if the program has been completely uninstalled from the system altogether deliberately or accidentally, you must follow the steps given below to reinstall the Internet Explorer:

■Log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer using the administrator account.
■From the Start screen, click the Desktop tile.
■From the desktop window, hover mouse to the bottom-right corner of the screen.
■From the displayed Charms bar, click the Settings option.
