Windows 8/Windows 8.1 No Longer Displays Errors in Words While Typing

Earlier, only the MS Office programs such as MS Word, etc. had the spelling and grammar checking feature (which still exists in them). With the release of Windows 8/Windows 8.1, Microsoft has also integrated the spellcheck feature that automatically highlights the misspelled words so that you can easily identify them, and can rectify the spelling mistakes.

By default the spellcheck feature is turned on in Windows 8/Windows 8.1. However if your copy of the operating system does not highlight the spelling mistakes, it means that the feature has been turned off either automatically due to any incompatible application, or manually due to any reason.

Regardless of the reason behind getting the spellcheck feature disabled in your copy of Windows 8/Windows 8.1, you can follow the steps given below to re-enable it on your computer:

■Log in to Windows 8/Windows 8.1 with administrative privileges.
■Type PC settings on the Start screen.
