How to Check Specs for Games in Windows 8/Windows 8.1

Since Windows 8/Windows 8.1 is designed and developed for both home users and professionals, YES, of course you can play all types of games on the computer. However before you purchase any game to play on Windows 8/Windows 8.1, it is important that you check with the hardware requirements of the game, and confirm that your computer meets them.

That being said, it is important for you to check the complete hardware configuration that a system may have. If you have purchased your computer from any branded vendor, you can check its hardware configuration by going through the manual that was shipped along with the system. Same is the case with the laptop PCs where you can go through the manual and check the specifications of the available hardware. On the other hand, the case maybe otherwise if you have purchased an assembled PC.

Note: The steps described below are not only Windows 8/Windows 8.1 specific but can be followed on Windows 7, or even on Windows XP to check the configuration of the available hardware in the computer.

    ■Log on to Windows 8/Windows 8.1 using any account.
    ■Once logged on, click the button with the down arrow from the bottom-left corner of the Start screen.
    ■From the opened Apps window, under Windows System, click Run to open the Run command box.

    ■In the Run box text field, type MSINFO32 and press Enter.

    ■On the opened System Information window, from the left pane, click to select the System Summary tree.
    ■The complete system information can be seen in the right pane.
