In order to set an alert, you must have your cellphone number added to your Twitter account. After you have configured your profile for the alert notifications, every time the target Twitter user tweets something, Twitter sends you an alert message via SMS on your mobile phone.
It is easy to set tweet alerts for a user on Twitter. Here is how:
- Using any web browser sign-to your Twitter account.
- Ensure that you have already attached your phone number to your account.
- On the Home page, search the user by typing the name in the search box (box with a magnifying glass) for whom you want to set a notification alert.
