If you ever get into situation as said above, you can still converse with your Facebook friends via an Android smartphone as long as you are connected to the Internet, and you have any web browser app installed on your phone. Even if you do not have a web browser on your phone, but you are connected to the Internet, you can download any browser of your choice from Google Play Store.
Assuming that you do not have the Messenger app available on your phone, your phone has an active Internet connection, and you have already downloaded and installed your favorite web browser app, the steps below will guide you through the process of sending Facebook messages to your friends without using the Facebook Messenger app:
- Turn on your Android smartphone.
- Tap the Menu icon to display the apps list.

- From the list, locate and tap your favorite web browser. (E.g. Google Chrome in this demonstration)

- In the address bar, type www.facebook.com and hit the Go button.

- If prompted, provide your login credentials in the appropriate fields, and tap the Log In button.

- On the Home page, tap the Menu icon (icon with the three horizontal lines) from the top-left corner.

- From the displayed list, under the APPS section, tap the Chat option.

- On the next interface, ensure that Chat is On.
- From the online friends list, tap the desired contact to whom you want to send a message.
