Move Files from Your Laptop iTunes to Your iPhone

You can transfer files from iTunes to your iPhone by connecting your iPhone to your laptop. It is important that the files that you want to transfer are available on your computer, and the iTunes application can access them.

Moving files to your iPhone allows you to access the songs, documents, or other such stuff right on your mobile phone, even if you are on the move, and you do not have access to your laptop PC or desktop computer.

While transferring the files from PC to iPhone, you can specify where you want to move the files in your device.

Note: No Internet connection is required to move the files from your desktop PC or laptop to your iPhone.

Here is how you can move files from iTunes to your iPhone:

  1. Log on to your Windows PC.
  2. Connect your iPhone device to the computer using data cable.
  3. Launch ITunes by double-clicking its icon.
  4. On the opened window, under the DEVICES section in the left pane, click the iPhone device that you want to sync with the iTunes.

    Note: if the left pane is not visible in your instance of iTunes interface, click the View menu from the menu bar at the top, and click Show Sidebar.

  5. Once the iPhone is selected, from the right pane, click Music from the top.
  6. Under the Music tab, check the Sync Music checkbox.

  7. In the Sync Music section, click to select the Selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres radio button.
  8. Once done, check the check boxes representing desired songs folders under the different sections.
  9. Finally, click the Apply button from the bottom-right corner to transfer the selected files to the iPhone.
