Step 1
To start, you’ll need to make sure that all of your devices are logged in to the same Apple ID. So if you have an iPhone, an iPad, an iPod Touch, and a MacBook Pro, you’ll have to login to your Apple account four times to completely sync podcasts between them all.
Step 2
On your iOS devices, tap “Settings” and select “Podcasts.” The first option on the new menu should be to “Sync Podcasts.” Turn it on. Do this for your iPhone, your iPad, and any other Apple devices.
Step 3
On your computer—it can be a PC or a Mac—open iTunes, login to your Apple ID, and select “Preferences” from the dropdown iTunes menu. Under the “Store” tab, you’ll find an option to “Sync podcast subscriptions and settings.” Check the box next to it. While you’re in there, make sure “Sync playback information across devices” is on as well, to make sure your devices are all remembering your podcast playback position.
Recap
Podcasts are a great way to learn more about your favorite subject, or to follow news in a specific field. By taking the steps laid out above, you can maximize your podcast enjoyment by making it easier to access your favorite casts from every single one of your devices.
