Step 1: Check if the DVD or Blu-ray offers a content code or a Digital Copy disc. Next, make sure you’re hooked up to the Internet and have the latest version of iTunes downloaded.
Step 2: If you have a content code only, open up iTunes and go into the iTunes Store. Then find the Quick Links menu and choose Redeem. Login with your Apple ID and type in the 12-digit content code.
Step 3: You can choose to download the movie right away or later on. If you download it right away, you’ll get another prompt to Watch Later or Play Movie Now when the movie finishes downloading.
Step 4: If you have a disc AND a content code, start by inserting the disc into your computer drive. Next, you’ll be prompted for your content code. Click Redeem when you’re done entering the code. You’ll need to login with your Apple ID to proceed.
Step 5: Wait for the film to download, and then go your Library and click on Movies to start watching.
Recap: When you buy a new DVD or Blu-ray, your movie might come with a digital copy that you can add to your iTunes library. Just follow the steps above to redeem your digital copy and start watching on your devices.
