Sure hopes this helps someone else. I saw so many questions on this matter. Connecting only to local but not to the internet, only to WEP but WPA2. That's what mine was doing to, I could go to a public place and connect, but not at home.

2011 Updated Driver for the Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi adapter

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadInde...

I was able to connect via Ethernet cable but chose to download via my flash drive on another PC.
Then moved them to my Win Vista desktop.

It gives you the 2 below choices.
Use HP Download and Install Assistant (Recommended)
Download only

(I down loaded both choices. Because the recommended one didn't do anything. So I then clicked on the other one which is the driver)

1. Go to Device Manager and find the WiFi Adapter, right click and uninstall.
When uninstalling the old driver also click the button to remove the software, otherwise every time you reboot the old one will be there.
2. Make sure it's not in the Device Manager after rebooting.
3.Then install the new driver and reboot. Verified 2011 Driver in now in the Device Manager, and works great.

3 days I've been looking and finally got it. I finally asked the right question on Google. The new driver 2011 connects wonderfully to my WPA2.
