How to Uninstall Windows 10

How to Uninstall Windows 10

If you have recently upgraded from Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 10 and wish to switch back, you can uninstall the new OS from your computer and rollback to the previous version of Windows.

However, you can uninstall Windows 10 only if you have upgraded to it from any earlier Windows. If you performed a clean installation of Windows 10, there is no way you can uninstall it. In order to get back to Windows 8/8.1 or to Windows 7, you would need a clean install of that OS.

It should be noted that Microsoft only allows you to roll back Windows 10 within 30 days of upgrading. If you exceed this threshold, you will need to clean install your previous operating system if you want it back.

Assuming that you have upgraded to Windows 10 within the last 30 days, here is how you can uninstall the new OS from your PC:
