How to Make Web Notes in Microsoft Edge Browser

Windows 10’s new built-in web browser Microsoft Edge allows you to create notes right on web pages. The web notes help you in:

[listNum]■Marking a section of the page using the Pen tool.
■Highlighting important texts with the help of a Highlighter.
■Adding captions to a particular object using the available annotation tool.
■Capturing a certain area of the web page using the Clip tool.

With web notes, you can draw, write captions, or highlight the text right on the web page displayed on your computer. This can be done either using your mouse, the touchpad, or directly on the screen if you have a touchscreen computer.
Creating web notes in Microsoft Edge is simple. Here’s how:
■Make sure that your Windows 10 computer is connected to the Internet.

■Click the Microsoft Edge’s icon from the taskbar.
■Once opened, in the address bar, type the URL of the website on which you want to make web notes.
■When the web page loads successfully, from the top-right corner of the Microsoft Edge’s interface, click the Make a Web Note button.

■Optionally you can use the Clip tool to drag and select the area of the web page where you have marked, highlighted, and/or captioned important stuff.
Note: The Clip tool comes in handy when you want to share only a particular (marked) area of the web page instead of sending the whole page altogether to your contacts or on your social network profile.
Note: You can use the Eraser tool to remove any of the highlighted objects. In order to remove a caption, you must click the annotation button, and click the Trash symbol present within the caption box.
