How to Save Maps for Offline Viewing in Windows 10

Windows 10 has a built-in Maps program that can help you navigate when using your phone, tablet or laptop out in the world. With an Internet connection, you can use the Maps program to look up new locations and directions.

If you don’t have an Internet connection, you’re in luck. The Maps program lets you download maps of your entire countries for use offline. Then, you can use the Maps whenever you want – even if you don’t have a connection.

Here’s how you can download the maps on your Windows 10 device for offline viewing:

■Power on and sign-in to your Windows 10 device.
■Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.
■On your Windows 10’s desktop screen, click/tap the Start button.
■From the left pane of the Start menu, click/tap Maps.
Note: If Maps is not available in the Start menu’s left pane, click/tap All apps from the bottom of the left pane itself, and locate and click/tap Maps from the M category.
Note: Make sure that the Location Services is enabled on your device to allow Maps to automatically detect your current location.
