Wireless network profiles are created automatically in Windows 10 whenever you connect to a Wi-Fi network. They are a way of managing the settings and remembering the channel, SSID and login so all you need do when you want to connect is click the button. If you’re housekeeping or just want to forget a particular profile, you can tell your computer to forget wireless network profiles in Windows 10. Here’s how.

Forget wireless network in Windows 10
1. Navigate to Settings, Network & Internet.
2. Select Wi-Fi and then click the text link for Manage Wi-Fi settings.
3. Look for the network under Manage known networks and click on it. A new window should appear with two buttons, Share and Forget.
4. Click Forget.

Windows will now remove the profile for that network. The next time you log on to it, you will have to enter the details again. Repeat this for all the networks you want to forget.

As always, there is a command line method of forgetting wireless network profiles in Windows 10 using the ‘netsh’ command.

1. Open a CMD window as an administrator.
2. Type or paste ‘netsh wlan show profiles’. This will show a list of wireless profiles stored in Windows.
3. Type or paste ‘netsh wlan delete profile name="profile name".’ For example, if your network is called Home1, then you would type ‘netsh wlan delete profile name="Home1"’.
4. If you wanted to remove all wireless network profiles, you could type or paste ‘netsh wlan delete profile name=* i=*’. This would wipe all profiles from your machine.
