There can be various reasons why you are experiencing problems with your controller for HTC Vive. This tutorial will show the solution if your controller get's bricked. Follow this instructions so you can use your HTC Vive controller without any problem:
Step 1. Hard reset your controller
■ Hold down this buttons on your controller: trigger > menu button > trackpad button > grip buttons, except the system button.
■ Also you will need to plug your controller into your pc. Use a micro USB cord. Don't stop holding the buttons.
■ Wait about 5 seconds and then you can release the buttons.
■ To reset your controller ignore the new storage device that will appear and just unplug the micro USB cord.
