Bending a Windows computer to your will is one of the highlights of working with it. Considering how awkward it can be to work with, there have to be some highlights right? One of the best personalization options is the desktop and the ability to change its appearance. If you have ever wondered how to change the color of the Start Menu, Taskbar, Action Center and Title bar in Windows 10, here’s how you do it.

Change color of the Start Menu, Taskbar, Action Center and Title bar in Windows 10
Changing colors is about as easy as it gets. First, let us make sure you have colors set to be shown. In some installs, it is automatically set to off.

1. Navigate to Settings and then Personalization.
2. Make sure ‘Show color on Start, taskbar, action center, and title bar’ is set to on at the bottom of the right pane.
3. Close the window or continue to setting the color.

To change the colors, do this:

1. Navigate to Settings and then Personalization if you closed the window.
2. Select Colors and make sure ‘Automatically pick an accent color from my background’ is switched off.
3. Select your color of choice from the range.

You should see your changes reflected immediately in the window, task bar and every element of your desktop. Color changes are dynamic so they don’t have to be saved either.
