Volskaya Industries Map Guide For Overwatch

In soviet Russia, Overwatch play you. And you might feel a bit played when you give this map a go, it can be a tough one for the attacking team. Right out of the spawn point you can be in danger from a sniper position in the building across from you that can watch all of the available exit points. On top of that, the left hand exit is near a drop to your death, and someone could be waiting outside just to knock you over the edge when you come out. Both of these can lead to a very bad start, that will go downhill quickly if you aren't careful.

Objective A)Outer Courtyard.
In order to get to this objective, there is a choke point you will have to break through that the defensive team can set up to defend, but there is a backdoor way that you can use to sneak behind the defenses if you are playing D Va, Lucio, Genji, Pharah, Reaper, Winston, Tracer, Widowmaker, or Mercy if she is following one of the other heroes with her guardian angel ability. This backdoor is located just to the left of the gateway and you can see a platform across a gap that if you fall down will kill you, but the heroes listed above should be able to make it across without an issue. This gives you a good avenue to sneak in behind the enemies defenses and catch them off guard effectively so that you and your team can break through them. The little hut just beside the objective is a great spot for a bastion to hide out in to eliminate anyone who gets past the rest of the defenses to stand on the objective, so be sure to check there to clear it out as well before you go charging in.

Objective B)Production Floor.
This second objective is a bit easier to take as there are more avenues to approach it. There is even another sneaky back door short cut to get to it, this time on the right hand side of the map. You can also use the moving platforms, the back hallways, or just charge straight in if your team composition will allow for it. If you decide to charge into the objective, keep an eye on the ledge just behind the objective. It's a great place for a turret or a sniper to set up, as they can see the entire objective from there, and there is cover that they can easily duck behind if needed.
